Made possible with funding and staff of Columbus College of Art & Design with grants from Greater Columbus Arts Council, the Ohio Arts Council, a Project Grant from Etant donnés: The French-American Fund for Contemporary Art; and a grant from the Danish Arts Council; realized within my responsibilities as Director of Exhibitions at Columbus College of Art & Design

This book features a slew of interviews, commissioned essays, and projects by artists who use urban and social contexts as departure points for work. The essay provides historical context to an exhibition foregrounding ideas that slow, incremental shifts in social behavior can generate knowledge and action over time, leading to long-term changes in how people engage and connect with one another and place.

Descent to Revolution has a commissioned text by Claire Fontaine and extensive interviews with Red76 and REINIGUNGSESELLSCHAFT.
